Mt. Kalsubai is the highest point in Maharashtra. Kalsubai can be climbed in a day without any technical equipment’s and skills.

The trekking duration is about 3-4 hours and on the summit there is a small temple of Devi Kalsubai. The peak, being the highest, provides a million dollar view. To the north, forts such as Harihargad, Ramsej, Bramhagiri, Ghargad, Tringalwadi, Anjaneri are seen. To the east one can spot Aundha fort and Vishramgad. To the west one can spot AMK, Ratangad and to the south, Pabhargad, Harishchandragadh, and Ghanchakkar can be seen.

This trek will be led by Parth Upadhyaya who became the youngest Mumbaikar to ever climb Mount Everest on 23rd May 2019. With years of mountaineering experience under his belt, he will be sharing his experiences to the top of the world during the trek.

So come join us and experience standing on the roof of Maharashtra.

Itinerary

Day 1: 7th December 2019

22:00: Assemble at Dadar east near Pritam hotel

22:15: Depart from Dadar in a private bus

23:15: Pick up at Nitin junction Thane

Day 2: 8th December 2019

03:00: Reach Base village Bari and sleep for a while:00: Wakeup call and breakfast

06:30: Start trekking

10:00: Reach summit and enjoy the views. Start descending

13:30: Reach base village and have lunch

14:30: Depart for Mumbai

21:00: Reach Dadar

Things to Remember:-

Some trekking rules before you consider booking with us:

– Avoid bringing any plastics with you.

– All trash should be taken back to the city by the camper – Leave No Trace.

– Smoking and drinking is prohibited during the event. Anyone found will be expelled from the event immediately.

– DarkGreen will not be responsible for any baggage or personal belonging loss/damage.

– Sleeping materials like sleeping bags or blankets and roll mats

– 2 litre water (compulsory)

– Torch (compulsary)

– Good trekking shoes

– Some ready to eat food like fruits/dry fruits

– A haversack to put everything

Parth Upadhyaya – Advance Mountaineering Course qualified leader. Parth is the youngest Mumbaikar to climb Mt. Everest. He has 10 years of trekking and experience and loves to hike in the Sahyadris multiple times in a week as a part of his training regiment.
