DarkGreen Adventures invites you for a once in a lifetime lakeside camping trip to Bhivpuri Lake near Mumbai. Come join us for an open sky camping at the beautiful Bhivpuri Lake which is covered by mountains on 3 sides. It will be a fun filled night with campfire, barbeque, soft music, storytelling, sleeping under open sky, and swimming in the lake.
This will also be a good chance to interact with your camp leader Parth Upadhyaya, the youngest Mumbaikar to climb Mount Everest. Parth climbed Everest on 23rd May 2019 at 5am from the lesser climbed and more difficult route from the North Face in Tibet.
Five minutes of conversations with Parth will leave you inspired to do greater things in life!
How it works?
Step 1: Click on "Book Now" and fill all the necessary details such as name, email ID, phone number.
Step 2: Make the payment to confirm your spot and voila! You are all set for an amazing weekend out in the mountains.
Cancellation policy:
- Until 18th December Midnight: 75% Refund
- After 18th December Midnight: No Refund
- Full refund will be given to the participants 48 hours in advance if the event is cancelled due to minimum number of seats not being filled
Brief itinerary:
Day 1: Saturday 21st December
18:21: Catch 18:21 Karjat fast local train from CST. Try to board second compartment from CST end.
20:00: Reach Bhivpuri and walk towards campsite. It is a 30 minute walk. We will have dinner on the way at a village household.
21:30: Reach the campsite. Gather around the campfire for a fun filled night. The fun will continue till you decide to fall asleep
Day 2: Sunday 22nd December
06:00: Wake up and morning chores.
06:30: Go for swimming in lake.
08:00: Breakfast will be served.
09:00: Reach Bhivpuri station and depart for home with happy memories.
Things to Carry
- 2 liters of water (preferably reusable bottle)
- Mat and sleeping bag/blankets
- Torch (compulsory)
- Separate clothes and towel for swimming
- Mosquito repellent cream
- Some ready to eat food, fruits, plum cakes, biscuits etc.
- Special Medicinations (if any)
- Guitar, volleyball, frisbee, UNO Cards (get creative, you guys!), offline music collection
Camping Rules
Some camp rules before you consider booking with us:
- Avoid bringing any plastics with you.
- All trash should be taken back to the city by the camper – Leave No Trace.

Parth Upadhyaya - Advance Mountaineering Course qualified leader. Parth is the youngest Mumbaikar to climb Mt. Everest. He has 10 years of trekking and experience and loves to hike in the Sahyadris multiple times in a week as a part of his training regiment.
